Services
Industrial Services That Work as One System
Electrical, automation, control panels, fabrication, field services, and staffing from one employee-owned team
Services We Offer
Our services work together, not in silos. We start with strong electrical foundations and connect automation, controls, panel builds, fabrication, field services, and staffing into one complete system. As a result, projects move faster and deliver better results.
Industrial Electrical Systems
Industrial electrical construction built for real operating environments. DSI installs and supports power systems that connect equipment, controls, panels, instrumentation, and field devices safely and reliably.
Includes:
- Industrial electrical construction
- Power distribution
- MCC and VFD installation
- Pump and motor wiring
- Control panel installation
- Instrumentation wiring
- Hazardous area electrical installations
- Startup and commissioning support
Automation & Controls Integration
Automation designed around the full system. DSI integrates PLCs, HMIs, SCADA, RTUs, instrumentation, communications, and field devices so equipment communicates clearly and operators have the visibility they need.
Includes:
- PLC programming
- HMI development
- SCADA integration
- RTU and remote site controls
- Instrumentation integration
- Industrial network communications
- System upgrades and modernization
- Troubleshooting and lifecycle support
UL-Certified Panel Shop
DSI’s UL-certified panel shop builds industrial control panels that are engineered, wired, labeled, tested, documented, and ready for field installation.
Includes:
- UL508A industrial control panels
- UL698A hazardous location panels
- PLC control panels
- SCADA interface panels
- Pump control panels
- VFD and motor control panels
- Repeat-build panel programs
- Factory acceptance testing and documentation
Fabrication
DSI fabrication runs out of its own facility, building the skids, supports, frames, platforms, and mounts that critical systems depend on. Work is fabricated in the shop, then shipped out and installed in the field, coordinated with the electrical, automation, panel shop, and field teams from the start so it fits when it arrives.
Includes:
- Shop fabrication in a dedicated facility
- Equipment skids and support structures
- Panel and enclosure support frames
- Access platforms, stairs, ladders, and walkways
- Pipe and conduit supports
- Custom weldments, racks, and mounts
- Built to ship and install in the field
- Shop-to-field coordination with the install crew
Field & Facility Services
DSI field teams work on live sites: installation, startup, commissioning, troubleshooting, maintenance, modifications, and long-term system performance. This is also where DSI’s certified welding sits, including ASME National Board R Stamp pressure vessel repair and other welding and fabrication repairs carried out in the field.
Includes:
- Field installation support
- Startup and commissioning
- ASME R Stamp pressure vessel repair
- Field welding and fabrication repairs
- Oil and gas field services
- Troubleshooting and equipment upgrades
- Field modifications
- Long-term system support
- 24/7 emergency support
Industrial Staffing
DSI staffing places skilled industrial talent, not generalists. Because we recruit for our own crews first, we know what a qualified technician actually looks like, and temporary placements arrive with trucks and a full tool set so they are productive on day one.
Includes:
- Temporary staffing for short-term projects
- Permanent placement and direct hire
- Industrial automation and controls specialists
- Crews supplied with trucks and full tool sets
- Safety-trained and compliance-ready personnel
- Vetted for technical skill and culture fit
- Support for remote and hard-to-staff locations
- Lower overhead than a traditional staffing agency
Most Delays Happen Between Vendors, Not Inside Them
Every contractor on your project can do good work and the schedule can still slip. The panel builder waits on a program. The programmer waits on a drawing. The electrician arrives to find the enclosure will not fit the rack that was fabricated to a different revision. Nobody did anything wrong, and you still lost three weeks.
The gaps between vendors are where projects actually go sideways.
Those gaps do not appear on any bid. They show up later, as change orders, return trips, and a startup date that moves twice. When one company owns the electrical, the panels, the programming, the steel, and the field crew, the coordination happens in a hallway instead of an email chain.
One Team. One Point of Accountability.
DSI has built industrial systems for more than 25 years, and we are 100% employee-owned. That structure matters more than it sounds like it should. The people who show up on your site are owners, so the quality of the work and whether you call us back are the same question to them.
- One scope, one schedule, and one company answering for all of it
- UL508A and UL698A certified panel shop, so panels ship with the label and the paperwork
- Rockwell Automation Silver System Integrator
- ASME National Board R Stamp for certified pressure vessel repair
- Six locations across the Bakken, Permian, Delaware Basin, and the upper Midwest
- Field crews who have seen your kind of plant before
Industries We Serve
The engineering carries across. The operating conditions, documentation, and safety requirements do not, so we treat each industry on its own terms.
Oil & Gas
Wellsite, midstream, and production facility work in the Bakken, Permian, and Delaware basins, where uptime is measured in barrels and a callout is a long drive.
Industrial Processing & Manufacturing
Food and dairy, agriculture processing, and manufacturing plants where a line stoppage is expensive and every change has to fit a production schedule.
Municipal Water & Wastewater
Treatment plants, lift stations, and pump stations for cities and districts working through public budgets, aging infrastructure, and regulatory reporting.

Frequently Asked Questions
Do I have to use all of your services, or can I hire you for just one?
Either works. Plenty of customers bring us in for a single panel build or one electrical scope. The advantage of the full set is that when a project does span disciplines, the handoffs happen inside one company instead of between four.
What does it actually cost me to split this work across separate vendors?
Usually not the bid price. It shows up as schedule. Field crews wait on panels, panels wait on a program, and the program waits on a drawing nobody owns. Every one of those gaps is a day, and none of them appear on any quote.
Which industries do you work in?
Oil and gas, industrial processing and manufacturing, and municipal water and wastewater. The engineering is similar across all three. The operating constraints, documentation, and safety requirements are not, which is why we keep them separate.
Where do you work?
Six locations across South Dakota, North Dakota, Texas, New Mexico, and Wyoming, with project support well beyond them. Panels ship anywhere. Field crews travel.
Is your panel shop actually certified, or do you just build to the standard?
Certified. DSI holds UL508A and UL698A certification, so panels carry the label and the documentation an inspector expects. We are also a Rockwell Automation Silver System Integrator, and we hold an ASME National Board R Stamp for pressure vessel repair.
What does employee ownership change for me as a customer?
The person on your site has a stake in whether you call us again. That is the honest version. DSI is 100% employee-owned, which is a large part of why our crews stay long enough to learn your plant.
Tell Us What You Are Trying to Get Running
Bring us the whole project or one piece of it. Either way you get a straight answer about what it takes, from the people who will actually do the work.
